I would like to create a topic for those collecting funds for their trip to Uganda. Does this topic belong here, Marissa? Perhaps it should be a new topic? What do you think?

WELCOME, WILL! Happy to know that you are actively setting time from your busy schedule to be with us in Uganda. As you know, we need to raise awareness regarding our cause to a critical mass level. Your skills, logistical mind, and most of all your great humanitarian spirit will be a terrific asset there.
Looking forward to more of your thoughts and ideas.
Love and Peace,
~ Liz

RHCF agrees with Healthy & Safe Water for the World International Conference (HSWWIC) and another thing is that we need that page so that people can sign up and register for the conference and we need the brochures that can help us to invite the organisations and individuals interested in attending the conference

Liz and Marissa, Thank you for doing all of this. I think it makes the conference seem more real, like is really going to happen! A lot of details need to be worked out and I think it is better to do that here in relative privacy, rather than on O-net.

The samples are here ! The women did such a great job. and Liz Ssenoga is also starting. How cool! I sent the pictures of the samples to friends and family and I think I will receive enough to send the women money for more sewing machines. I will be sending Liz a doll, some patterns and a digital camera donated by my younger sister out by Monday.
Sorry to hear about your internet provider, willi. we'll pray for it to improve. Thanks for doing a great job in RHCF!

I met with some artists today to network. One friend spoke about an exhibit in a chapel downtown- A "water themed exhibit" from various artists which can also travel around different places. The Chapel Gallery she is in charge of will be open to this Jan to Mar next year. I'll see if there's a willing sponsor in the fall. I have made another wiki for this called artforwater.wetpaint. com just for the artists to brainstorm. Everyone here is welcome there too, just go there and ask to be invited. I will fire up emails for artists to join there.

From Dr Ssenoga's report it seems that the following challenges need attention: 1. Trust building 2. Travel to long distances 3. Need for bigger tanks, pipes to reach high hills.
Resolution Suggestions: 1. Trustbuilding- education and awareness 2. Travel to long distance- would something like a golf cart help? 3. Pipes and Tanks- RHCF is investigating on costs
Ideas, anyone?

1. In terms of education and awareness - videos and dvds with visuals may be helpful. We can ask FIMRC as soon as they finish the videos if we can send some of them to Mubende. I will contact Geoff about this.
2. I like the RHCF's idea of placing the water tanks on the high hills in a centralized location for easier access by many.
3. They do need bigger water tanks for that. We will need to fundraise. RHCF will let us know how much they cost. Dr. Ssenoga will let me know.
4. A laptop computer was sent to Dr. Ssenoga so they can have easier communications with us and also so they have more access to information regarding the solutions to the water crisis in Mubende.
